Interested to get user community feedback on whether the term Candidatus should be explicitly included in the GTDB rank names, e.g. g__Candidatus Amyloruptor rather than g__Amyloruptor. This could result in long tax strings if all ranks are Candidatus. Another possibility would be to include another field on the genome pages indicating nomenclatural status, but then this would only apply to the species name.
I’m glad you don’t include Candidatus. Isolability should just be metadata about the two word genus-species name.
