Genome sizes for different taxonomic groups

Hi folks

I was wondering if you had a table that summarized the range (distribution?) of genomes for different taxonomic groups?

Hi Rob,

We don’t have such a table, but this can be determined using the provided GTDB metadata files which give the genome size and taxonomic assignment for all genomes in the GTDB. You can download these at:

https://data.gtdb.ecogenomic.org/releases/latest/
